Put plainly: a slot on our busiest guide puts you in front of about 90 people a month, of whom about 8 go on to ask for quotes. That is a small number. We would rather you saw it before you paid than after. It is also growing quickly, which is the case for buying early rather than a promise about next month.

The link is marked sponsored and nofollow, so it passes no search ranking. We say that plainly because some directories do not, and because you should not pay us for SEO you will not get.
What it costs
£30 a month for one guide. No contract, no setup fee, invoiced monthly, cancel by email whenever you like. One slot per guide, so once a page is taken it is taken.
We will not sell you a slot on a guide that gets almost no traffic. If you ask about a quiet page we will tell you what it actually gets and either point you at a busier one or suggest you wait. A page doing twenty visits a month is not worth £30 to anyone and selling it would cost us the only thing this site has.
What paying us does not buy
Our prices are researched independently and published with the month they were last checked. Paying us does not change a figure, move you up a list, get you named in the guide itself, or affect which options we show. Your slot is labelled Sponsored and sits outside the editorial content.
That is not a policy written for this page. It is on our disclosure page and it predates us having anything to sell: we do not take payment to change a price, rank a supplier higher, or write a fake review. If that rules out what you wanted, this is not the right site.
Who this is not for
- National brands. At about 2,000 visits a month we cannot move your numbers, and we would rather say so.
- Anyone buying a backlink. The link is sponsored and nofollow. It is for readers, not for Google.
- Anyone who wants to be recommended. We publish prices, we do not rank or endorse installers, and a sponsored slot is not a recommendation.
