Stephen Evans founded Costwise and researches, writes and reviews every cost figure on the site. The aim is simple: give people an honest UK price before they ever speak to a salesperson.

What I do here

I built Costwise because most "get a quote" sites hide the price until they have your details. I wanted the opposite: a clear from, typical and up-to figure for each job, researched from real UK pricing, dated, and only changed when the numbers actually move. Every guide, calculator and data study on the site is mine, and I review the figures on a regular cycle. Read how we price for the exact method.

How I keep it honest

I do not fabricate reviews, ratings or statistics, and installer or affiliate partners never influence the numbers. Costwise only earns if you choose to ask for quotes or use a marked affiliate link, which is set out in full on the disclosure page. If you ever spot a figure that looks off, I would genuinely like to know.
